1) THE INVESTIGATIVE JUDGMENT (See Daniel 7:9-10; Ecclesiastes 12:14)
____________________________________________________________________________________
(A) When Does The Investigative Judgment Begin? (Daniel 8:14) = In 1844.
From 1SM:125: “In 1844 our great High Priest entered the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary, to begin the work of the investigative judgment.”
From 4SP:266: “. . . in 1844, Christ then entered the Most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary, into the presence of God, to perform the closing work of atonement, preparatory to His Coming.”
From GC:436: “The work of Judgment which began in 1844, must continue until the cases of all are decided. . .”
From GC:486: “At the time appointed for the judgment -- the close of the 2300 days, in 1844 -- began the work of investigation and blotting out of sins. . . It is this coming, and not His Second Advent to the earth, that was foretold in prophecy to take place at the termination of the 2300 days, in 1844.”
From 4SP:307-308: “[Daniel 7:9-10, 13-14 quoted]. Thus was presented to the prophet’s vision the opening of the Investigative Judgement. The coming of Christ here described is not His Second Coming to the earth. He comes to the Ancient of days in Heaven to receive dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, which will be given Him at the close of His mediatorial work. It is this coming, and not His Second Advent to the earth, that was foretold in prophecy to take place at the termination of the 2300 days, in 1844.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(B) Who Is Judged? (Job 36:17; Ecc. 3:16-17; Matthew 7:21-23; Acts 3:19-21; Romans 14:10; First Corinthians 5:11-13; Second Corinthians 5:10; First Timothy 5:24; Hebrews 10:30; First Peter 4:17; Revelation 3:5; Revelation 14:13; Revelation 20:12). = The Righteous Dead & Righteous Living.
From GC:480: “In the typical service, only those who had come before God with confession and repentance, and whose sins, through the blood of the sin-offering, were transferred to the Sanctuary, had a part in the service of the day of atonement. So in the great day of final atonement and Investigative Judgement, the only cases considered are those of the professed people of God. The Judgment of the wicked is a distinct and separate work, and takes place at a later period. ‘Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel?’ 1Pe. 4:17.”
From 4SP:309; GC:483: “The lives of all who have believed on Jesus pass in solemn review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate examines the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living.”
From GC:483: “As the Books of Record are opened in the judgment, the lives of all who have believed on Jesus come in review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate presents the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living.”
From 4SP:315: “Every soul that has named the name of Christ has a case pending at the Heavenly tribunal.”
From 1SM:125: “The cases of the righteous dead have been passing in review before God. When that work shall be completed, Judgment is to be pronounced upon the living.”
From 4SP:266: “This necessitates an examination of the Books of Record to determine who, through repentance of sin and faith in Christ, are entitled to the benefits of His atonement. The cleansing of the Sanctuary therefore involves a work of Investigative Judgement.”
From COL:310: “It is while men are still dwelling upon the earth that the work of Investigative Judgment takes place in the courts in Heaven. The lives of all His professed followers pass in review before God.”
From GC:486: “At the time appointed for the judgment -- the close of the 2300 days, in 1844 -- began the work of investigation and blotting out of sins. All who have ever taken upon themselves the name of Christ must pass its searching scrutiny. Both the living and the dead are to be judged ‘out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works.’ [Revelation 20:12]. Sins that have not been repented of and forsaken will not be pardoned, and blotted out of the Books of Record, but will stand to witness against the sinner in the day of God.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(C) When Does The Judgment End? (Daniel 12:1; Revelation 14:7; 22:12) = At The Close Of Human Probation.
From GC:436: “The work of Judgment which began in 1844, must continue until the cases of all are decided, both of the living and the dead; hence it will extend to the close of human probation.”
From GC:485: “The work of the Investigative Judgment and the blotting out of sins is to be accomplished before the Second Advent of the Lord. Since the dead are to be judged out of the things written in the Books, it is impossible that the sins of men should be blotted out until after the Judgment at which their cases are to be Investigated.”
From GC:352: “It was the closing work of the atonement. . . This service involves a work of investigation, a work of judgment; and it immediately precedes the Coming of Christ in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory; for when He Comes, every case has been decided. . . It is this work of judgment, immediately preceding the Second Advent, that is announced in the first angel’s message of Revelation 14:7. . .”
From GC:490-491: “When the work of the Investigative Judgment closes, the destiny of all will have been decided for life or death. Probation is ended a short time before the Appearing of the Lord in the clouds of Heaven. . .”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(D) Who Is The Judge? (Exodus 32:33; Daniel 7:10; Acts 17:31; Romans 2:16; First Corinthians 4:4) = God.
From FLB:212; GC:483: “As the Books of Record are opened in the judgment, the lives of all who have believed on Jesus come in review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate presents [before Who? God] the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living. Every name is mentioned, every case closely investigated. Names are accepted, names rejected. When any have sins remaining upon the Books of Record, unrepented of and unforgiven, their names will be blotted out of the Book of Life, and the record of their good deeds will be erased from the Book of God’s remembrance.”
From 4SP:307: “Attended by a cloud of Heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters the Holy of Holies, and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last acts of His ministration in behalf of man, -- to perform the work of Investigative Judgement, and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its benefits.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(E) Where Is The Judgment Held? (Hebrews 9:7, 24) = In Heaven, In The Most Holy Place.
From COL:310: “It is while men are still dwelling upon the earth that the work of Investigative Judgment takes place in the courts in Heaven.”
From GC:490-491: “The righteous and the wicked will still be living upon the earth in their mortal state, men will be planting and building, eating and drinking, all unconscious that the final, irrevocable decision has been pronounced in the Sanctuary above.”
From 4SP:307: “He comes to the Ancient of days in Heaven to receive dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, which will be given Him at the close of His mediatorial work. . . Attended by a cloud of Heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters the Holy of Holies, and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last acts of His ministration in behalf of man, -- to perform the work of Investigative Judgment, and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its benefits.”
From 4SP:308: “Attended by a cloud of Heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters the Holy of Holies, and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last acts of His ministration in behalf of man, to perform the work of Investigative Judgment, and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its benefits.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(F) Where Are The Dead? (Daniel 12:2; Isaiah 26:19; John 5:28-29; Acts 24:15; First Corinthians 15:21, 51-54; First Thessalonians 4:16-17) = In The Earth. (Note: Not “On” The Earth).
Plus, Who Are The Dead? = Both Righteous & Unrighteous.
From GC:482: “The righteous dead will not be raised until after the judgment at which they are accounted worthy of ‘the resurrection of life’ [John 5:29]. Hence they will not be present in person at the tribunal when their records are examined and their cases decided.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(G) Where Are The Living? (First Corinthians 15:51-54; First Thessalonians 4:16-17) = On The Earth.
Plus, Who Are The Living? = Both Righteous & Unrighteous.
(Applies to F also) From COL:310: “It is while men are still dwelling upon the earth that the work of Investigative Judgment takes place in the courts in Heaven. The lives of all His professed followers pass in review before God.”
From GC:436: “The work of judgment which began in 1844, must continue until the cases of all are decided, both of the living and the dead. . .”
(G) From GC:490-491: “Probation is ended a short time before the appearing of the Lord in the clouds of Heaven. . . The righteous and the wicked will still be living upon the earth in their mortal state, men will be planting and building, eating and drinking, all unconscious that the final, irrevocable decision has been pronounced in the Sanctuary above.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(H) Who Are The Witnesses? (Ecclesiastes 12:14; Daniel 7:10; Second Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:12) = The Angels.
From 4SP:308: “Attended by a cloud of Heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters the Holy of Holies, and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last acts of His ministration in behalf of man, to perform the work of Investigative Judgement, and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its benefits.”
From 4SP:311: “Great and small, high and low, rich and poor, are to be judged ‘out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works.’ [Revelation 20:12]. . . Angels of God have registered both the good and the evil.”
From 21MR:167: “The Book of the Recording Angel is still unsealed.”
From RH, April 22, 1862: “And angels bear the shameful tidings to Heaven, and the recording angel makes a recordof it all.”
From ST, July 9, 1896: “The record of our lives is accurately kept by the recording angel, and we shall each be rewarded according as our works have been.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(I) Who Is The Intercessor? (Romans 8:34; First Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24; First John 2:1) = Christ.
From GC:482: “The righteous dead will not be raised until after the judgment at which they are accounted worthy of ‘the resurrection of life.’ Hence they will not be present in person at the tribunal when their records are examined and their cases decided. Jesus will appear as their advocate, to plead in their behalf before God. ‘If any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.’ [1Jo. 2:1].”
From GC:483: “As the Books of Record are opened in the judgment, the lives of all who have believed on Jesus come in review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate presents the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living.”
From 4SP:266: “This necessitates and examination of the Books of Record to determine who, through repentance of sin and faith in Christ, are entitled to the benefits of His atonement. The cleansing of the Sanctuary therefore involves a work of Investigative Judgement.”
2) THE SENTENCING (OR PORTION) JUDGMENT (See Ecclesiastes 8:6; 11:9)
____________________________________________________________________________________
(AA) When Does The Sentencing Judgment Begin? (Daniel 7:22; First Corinthians 4:5; 6:2-3) = After Christ Comes / During The 1000 Years.
From GC:660-661; 4SP:475: “During the thousand years between the first and the Second Resurrection, the judgmentof the wicked takes place. The apostle Paul points to this judgment as an event that follows the Second Advent. ‘Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord Come, Who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.’ First Corinthians 4:5.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(BB) Who Is Judged? (First Corinthians 6:2-3; First Timothy 5:24; Jude 1:6; Revelation 20:12-13) = The Wicked Dead / Satan And his angels.
From EW:52: “The saints, in unison with Jesus, pass their judgment upon the wicked dead. ‘Behold ye,’ said the angel, ‘the saints, in unison with Jesus, sit in judgment, and mete out to the wicked according to the deeds done in the body, and that which they must receive at the execution of the judgment is set off against their names.’ “
From EW:291: “Christ, in union with His people, judged the wicked dead. . . Satan also and his angels were judged by Jesus and the saints.”
From GC:660-661; 4SP:475: “During the thousand years between the first and the second resurrection, the judgment of the wicked takes place. . . In union with Christ they judge the wicked, comparing their acts with the Statute-Book, the Bible, and deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body. . . It is at this time that, as foretold by Paul, ‘the saints shall judge the world.’ 1 Corinthians 6:2. In union with Christ they judge the wicked, comparing their acts with the Statute-Book, the Bible, and deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body. Then the portion which the wicked must suffer is meted out, according to their works; and it is recorded against their names in the Book of Death. Satan also and evil angels are judged by Christ and His people. Says Paul, ‘Know ye not that we shall judge angels?’ Verse 3. And Jude declares that ‘the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.’ Jude 6.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(CC) When Does The Judgment End? (Psalm 49:9; Isaiah 24:22; Revelation 20:5) = At The End Of The 1000 Years.
From GC:660-661; 4SP:475: “At the close of the thousand years the second resurrection will take place. Then the wicked will be raised from the dead, and appear before God for the execution of ‘the judgment written.’ [Psalm 49:9].”
From 4SP:476: “At the close of the thousand years, Christ again returns to the earth.”
From EW:52: “The execution of the judgment will be at the close of the one thousand years.”
(L & N) From EW:52-53: “These Books are compared with the Statute Book, the Bible, and according to that men are judged. The saints, in unison with Jesus, pass their judgment upon the wicked dead. ‘Behold ye,’ said the angel, ‘the saints, in unison with Jesus, sit in judgment, and mete [53] out to the wicked according to the deeds done in the body, and that which they must receive at the execution of the judgment is set off against their names.’ This, I saw, was the work of the saints with Jesus through the one thousand years in the Holy City before it descends to the earth. Then at the close of the one thousand years, Jesus, with the angels and all the saints, leaves the Holy City, and while He is descending to the earth with them, the wicked dead are raised, and then the very men that ‘pierced Him,’ being raised, will see Him afar off in all His glory, the angels and saints with Him, and will wail because of Him. They will see the prints of the nails in His hands and in His feet, and where they thrust the spear into His side. The prints of the nails and the spear will then be His glory. It is at the close of the one thousand years that Jesus stands upon the Mount of Olives, and the mount parts asunder and becomes a mighty plain. Those who flee at that time are the wicked, who have just been raised. Then the Holy City comes down and settles on the plain. Satan then imbues the wicked with his spirit. He flatters them that the army in the city is small, and that his army is large, and that they can overcome the saints and take the city.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(DD) Who Is The Judge? (Exodus 28:15, 29-30; Isaiah 3:14; Daniel 7:22; Matthew 19:28; First Corinthians 4:5; 6:2-3; Revelation 20:4, 6) = Christ And His Saints.
From EW:52: “Jesus and the saints sit in judgment. The saints, in unison with Jesus, pass their judgment upon the wicked dead. ‘Behold ye,’ said the angel, ‘the saints, in unison with Jesus, sit in judgment, and mete out to the wickedaccording to the deeds done in the body, and that which they must receive at the execution of the judgment is set off against their names.’ This, I saw, was the work of the saints with Jesus through the one thousand years in the Holy Citybefore it descends to the earth.”
From EW:54: “The wicked then received according as the saints, in unison with Jesus, had meted out to them during the one thousand years.”
From EW:291: “Christ, in union with His people, judged the wicked dead. . . Satan also and his angels were judged by Jesus and the saints.”
From GC:660-661; 4SP:475: “The apostle Paul points to this judgment as an event that follows the Second Advent. ‘Judge nothing before the time, until the Lord Come, Who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts.’ 1 Corinthians 4:5. Daniel declares that when the Ancient of days came, ‘judgment was given to the saints of the Most High.’ Daniel 7:22. At this time the righteous reign as kings and priests unto God. John in the Revelation says: ‘I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them.’ ‘They shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.’ Revelation 20:4, 6. It is at this time that, as foretold by Paul, ‘the saints shall judge the world.’ 1 Corinthians 6:2. In union with Christ they judgethe wicked, comparing their acts with the Statute-Book, the Bible, and deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(EE) Where Is The Judgment Held? (Daniel 7:22) = In Heaven / In The New Jerusalem.
From EW:52-53: See CC Note.
From RH, April 1, 1850: “I saw that the saints will rest in the Holy City, and reign as kings and priests one thousand years.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(FF) Where Are The Dead? (Isaiah 24:22; Revelation 20:5) = In And On The Earth.
Plus, Who Are The Dead? = The Unrighteous.
From FLB:184: “At the close of the thousand years the second resurrection will take place. Then the wicked will beraised from the dead, and appear before God. . . Thus the revelator, after describing the resurrection of the righteous, says, ‘The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.’ Revelation 20:5.”
From CET:109; EW:52: “The rest of the earth will not be cleansed until the end of the one thousand years, when the wicked dead are raised, and gather up around the city.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(GG) Where Are The Living? (First Corinthians 6:2; Jude 1:6; Revelation 20:3, 4, 6) = In Heaven Is The Righteous / On Earth Is Satan & his angels).
Plus, Who Are The Living? = The Righteous / Satan & his Angels.
From FLB:354; GC:660-661: “During the thousand years between the first and the second resurrection, the judgmentof the wicked takes place. . . It is at this time that, as foretold by Paul, ‘the saints shall judge the world.’ 1 Corinthians 6:2.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(HH) Who Are The Witnesses? (Daniel 5:27; Revelation 20:12) = The Righteous Angels. (Note: The Righteous Only Judge What The Angels Have Recorded).
From 4SP:311: “Great and small, high and low, rich and poor, are to be judged ‘out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works.’ [Revelation 20:12]. . . Angels of God have registered both the good and the evil.”
From 2T:442: “The recording angel has faithfully written their deeds. Every selfish act, every wrong word, every unfulfilled duty, and every secret sin, with every artful dissembling, is faithfully chronicled in the Book of Records kept by the recording angel.”
From CTBH:21: “Just as surely as there was a Witness at the feast of Belshazzar, there is also a witness in every scene of sacrilegious mirth, and just as surely is the recording angel writing, ‘Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.’ [Daniel 5:27].”
From ST, January 5, 1882: “Ever bear in mind that your acts are daily passing into history by the pen of the recording angel. You must meet them again when the Judgment shall sit and the Books shall be opened.”
From RH, January 18, 1898: “. . . the recording angel wrote their words in the Books of Heaven.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(II) Who is the Intercessor? (Jeremiah 30:13) = None.
From EW:71: “Those who refuse to be hewed by the prophets and fail to purify their souls in obeying the whole truth, and who are willing to believe that their condition is far better than it really is, will come up to the time of the falling of the plagues, and then see that they needed to be hewed and squared for the building. But there will be no time then to do it and no Mediator to plead their cause before the Father. Before this time the awfully solemn declaration has gone forth, ‘He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.’ ”
From EW:280-281: “As Jesus moved out of the most holy place, I heard the tinkling of the bells upon His garment; and as He left, a cloud of darkness covered the inhabitants of the earth. There was then no mediator between guilty man and an offended God. While Jesus had been standing between God and guilty man, a restraint was upon the people; but when He stepped out from between man and the Father, the restraint was removed and Satan had entire control of the finally impenitent. It was impossible for the plagues to be poured out while Jesus officiated in the Sanctuary; but as His work there is finished, and His intercession closes, there is nothing to stay the wrath of God, and it breaks with fury upon the shelterless head of the guilty sinner, who has slighted salvation and hated reproof. In that fearful time, after the close of Jesus’ mediation, the saints were living in the sight of a Holy God without an intercessor. Every case was decided, every jewel numbered. Jesus tarried a moment in the outer apartment of the Heavenly Sanctuary, and the sins which had been confessed while He was in the [281] Most Holy Place were placed upon Satan, the originator of sin, who must suffer their punishment.”
3) THE EXECUTIVE JUDGMENT (See Exodus 12:12; Job 21:30)
____________________________________________________________________________________
(AAA) When Does The Executive Judgment Begin? (Psalm 149:9; Isaiah 24:22; Malachi 3:5; Revelation 20:5, 7) = After The 1000 years.
From FLB:354; GC:660-661; 4SP:475: “At the close of the thousand years the second resurrection will take place. Then the wicked will be raised from the dead, and appear before God for the execution of ‘the judgment written.’ [Psalm 149:9]. Thus the revelator, after describing the resurrection of the righteous, says, ‘The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.’ Revelation 20:5. And Isaiah declares, concerning the wicked, ‘They shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.’ Isaiah 24:22.”
From 4SP:476: “At the close of the thousand years, Christ again returns to the earth.”
From EW:52: “The execution of the judgment will be at the close of the one thousand years.”
From GC88:425-426; GC:425-426; SW, January 24, 1905: “Besides the Coming of the Lord to His temple, Malachi also foretells His Second Advent, His Coming for the execution of the judgment, in these words: [Malachi 3:5quoted].”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(BBB) Who Is Judged? (Psalm 49:9; Isaiah 24:22; John 5:29; 2Pe. 2:9; 3:7; Jude 1:6; Revelation 20:5; 11-14) = The Wicked Dead / Satan And his angels.
From EW:54: “This was the execution of the judgment. The wicked then received according as the saints, in unison with Jesus, had meted out to them during the one thousand years.”
From EW:291: “Christ, in union with His People, judged the wicked dead, comparing their acts with the Statute Book, the Word of God, and deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body. Then they meted out to the wickedthe portion which they must suffer, according to their works; and it was written against their names in the Book of Death. Satan also and his angels were judged by Jesus and the saints. Satan’s punishment was to be greater than that of those whom he had deceived. . . [read further to see that this is clearly talking about the end of the thousand years].”
From GC:660-661; 4SP:475: “At the close of the thousand years the second resurrection will take place. Then the wicked will be raised from the dead, and appear before God for the execution of ‘the judgment written.’ [Psalm 49:9].”
From 4SP:475: “During the thousand years between the first and the second resurrection, the Judgment of the wicked dead takes place. The righteous reign as kings and priests unto God; and in union with Christ they judge the wicked, comparing their acts with the Statute Book, the Bible, and deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body. Then the portion which the wicked must suffer is meted out, according to their works; and it is written against their names in the Book of Death. Satan also and evil angels are judged by Christ and His people.”
From 4SP:476: “At the close of the thousand years, Christ again returns to the earth. He is accompanied by the host of the redeemed, and attended by a retinue of angels. As He descends in terrific majesty, He bids the wicked dead arise to receive their doom.”
From PK:187: “At the judgment. . . the world will be arraigned before the bar of Infinite Justice to receive sentence.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(CCC) When Does The Judgment End? (Revelation 20:9) = When The Wicked Are Destroyed.
From EW294-295: “I saw that some were quickly destroyed, while others suffered longer. They were punished according to the deeds done in the body. Some were many days consuming, and just as long as there was a portion of them unconsumed, all the sense of suffering remained. Said the angel, ‘The worm of life shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched as long as there is the least particle for it to prey upon.’ Satan and his angels suffered long. Satan bore not only the weight and punishment of his own sins, but also of the sins of the redeemed host, which had been placed upon him; and he must also suffer for the ruin of souls which he had caused. Then I saw that Satan and all the wicked host were consumed, and the justice of God was satisfied; and all the angelic host, and all the redeemed saints, with a loud voice said, ‘Amen!’ ”

(DDD) Who Is The Judge? (Psalm 49:9; John 5:22, 27; Revelation 20:11-12) = Christ, God Gives Judgment To The Son.
From 4SP:480-481: “In the presence of the assembled inhabitants of earth and Heaven takes place the final coronation of the Son of God. And now, invested with supreme majesty and power, the King of kings pronounces sentence upon the rebels against His government, and executes justice upon those who have transgressed His Law and oppressed His people. Says the prophet of God: ‘I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the Books were opened; and another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works.’ [Revelation 20:11-12].”
From RH, June 18, 1901; LHU:348; 5BC:1134: “To His Son the Father has committed all judgment.”
From DA:210: “He [Christ] will pass judgment upon every soul. And God ‘hath given Him [Christ] authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son man [John 5:27] ‘. . . the Son of man is appointed to execute the judgment.”
____________________________________________________________________________________
(EEE) Where Is The Judgment Held? (Revelation 20:9) = On The Earth.
From 4SP:476: “At the close of the thousand years, Christ again returns to the earth.”
From 4SP:477: “Then the New Jerusalem in its dazzling splendor, comes down out of Heaven. As it rests upon the place purified and made ready to receive it, Christ, with His people and the angels, enters the Holy City.”

From FLB:358; 4SP:489: “The wicked receive their recompense in the earth. . . Some are destroyed as in a moment, while others suffer many days. . . While the earth is wrapped in the fire of God’s vengeance, the righteous abide safely in the Holy City. Upon those that had part in the first resurrection, the second death has no power. (Revelation 20:6.) While God is to the wicked a consuming fire, He is to His people both a sun and a shield. (Psalm 84:11.).”

(HHH) Who Are The Witnesses? (Isaiah 45:23; Romans 14:11; Revelation 20:11, 12) = Everyone.
From 4SP:480-483; Mar:343-344; GC:665-670: “In the presence of the assembled inhabitants of earth and Heaventakes place the final coronation of the Son of God. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the Books were opened; and another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the Books, according to their works.’ [Revelation 20:11, 12] . . . They vainly seek to hide from the Divine majesty of His countenance, outshining the glory of the sun, while the redeemed cast their crowns at the Saviour’s feet, exclaiming, ‘He died for me!’ Amid the ransomed throng are the apostles of Christ, the heroic Paul, the ardent Peter, the loved and loving John, and their true-hearted brethren, and with them the vast host of martyrs; while outside the walls, with every vile and abominable thing, are those by whom they were persecuted, imprisoned, and slain. There is Nero. . . His mother. . . There are papist priests and prelates. . . There are the proud pontiffs. . . The whole wicked world stand arraigned at the bar of God, on the charge of high treason against the government of Heaven.”

(JJJ) Who Executes The Judgment? (John 5:27) = Christ.
From DA:210: “He [Christ] will pass judgment upon every soul. And God ‘hath given Him [Christ] authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son man [John 5:27] ‘. . . the Son of man is appointed to execute the judgment.”
See HHH (4SP:480-483; Mar:343-344; GC:665-670).
Consider also EW:54: “Then the wicked saw what they had lost; and fire was breathed from God upon them and consumed them. This was the execution of the judgment. The wicked then received according as the saints, in unison with Jesus, had meted out to them during the one thousand years. The same fire from God that consumed the wickedpurified the whole earth.”
Consider also PP:628: “The forbearance that God has exercised toward the wicked, emboldens men in transgression; but their punishment will be none the less certain and terrible for being long delayed. ‘The Lord shall rise up as in Mount Perazim, He shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that He may do His work, His strange work; and bring to pass His act, His strange act.’ Isaiah 28:21. To our merciful God the act of punishment is a strange act. ‘As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live.’ Ezekiel 33:11. The Lord is ‘merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, . . . forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.’ Yet He will ‘by no means clear the guilty.’ Exodus 34:6, 7. While He does not delight in vengeance, He will execute judgment upon the transgressors of His Law. He is forced to do this, to preserve the inhabitants of the earth from utter depravity and ruin. In order to save some He must cut off those who have become hardened in sin. ‘The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked.’ Nahum 1:3. By terrible things in righteousness He will vindicate the authority of His downtrodden Law. And the very fact of His reluctance to execute justice testifies to the enormity of the sins that call forth His judgments and to the severity of the retribution awaiting the transgressor.”
The Above (PP:628) is taken from ST, August 24, 1882, proving that the “He” is Jesus Christ our Lord: “When the scribes and Pharisees rejected the teachings of Christ, He bade them fill up the iniquity of their fathers, that it might be time for God to work; that the message of glad tidings might be given to others, who would joyfully receive it. When at last the Divine forbearance was exhausted, God’s wrath fell signally upon a people who had rejected so great light.
“The Lord [Who is “The Lord?”] does not delight in vengeance, though He executes judgment upon the transgressorsof His Law. He is forced to do this, to preserve the inhabitants of the earth from utter depravity and ruin. In order to save some, He must cut off those who have become hardened in sin. Says the prophet Isaiah: ‘The Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, He shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that He may do His work, His strange work, and bring to pass His act, His strange act.’ The work of wrath and destruction is indeed a strange, unwelcome work for HimWho is infinite in Love.”
4) JUDGEMENT FOR THE RIGHTEOUS
In Second Corinthians, Chapter 5, Verse 10, we learn: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
We have discussed the “bad,” unrighteous judgements for them. Therefore, it must also be understood that there will be a judgement for the “good,” righteous individuals, and their works. Apparently, there will be different rewards, or positions, or duties, given throughout eternity, based upon our works done on earth. Just as there will be different durations of the wicked burning based upon their evil acts done on earth.
Texts to consider also of this, using only the word “reward,” are: Deuteronomy 32:41; First Samuel 24:19; Second Samuel 3:39; Psalm 19:11; 58:11; 91:8; 94:2; Proverbs 11:18; Isaiah 3:11; 40:10; 62:11; Hosea 4:9; Matthew 5:12; 6:1; 10:41-42; 16:27; Mark 9:41; Luke 6:23 & 35; 23:41; Romans 4:4; First Corinthians 9:17; 9:18; Colossians 2:18; 3:24; Second Timothy 4:14; Hebrews 2:2; 10:35; 11:26; Second Peter 2:13; Second John 1:8; Revelation 11:18; 18:6; 22:12.
