Crystals And Their True Power
A INTRODUCTION.
B) ROCK HARD FACTS.
A) INTRODUCTION
Crystals are said “to embrace ancient and mystical knowledge.” That sounds dangerous enough already. They are also purported to contain “healing power for spiritual growth.” Now who or what would have the “power” for “healing” contained in an inanimate object such as a crystal? And more specifically, what kind of “spiritual growth” are we talking about (be it far from God’s design as laid out in the Bible)?
Here is a statement from most people pushing crystals for sale to the unwary buyer: “Crystals have been revered for their beauty and their power for thousands of years, in every part of the world. Whether as a protective stone, a talisman against harm, or a way of overcoming the negative energy of others, there are as many uses for these stones as there are varieties of crystal in the world.”
So now an inanimate object can “protect” you from imagined or real harm and from negative contact with others. Other statements made of them are: “Crystals of different origins, colors and vibrations can bring calming and peaceful energies to your life -- as well as energizing and inspiring you to overcome challenges in your love life, your career, and your personal growth.”
To be honest, these and other statements can be addressed to a true belief in the Living God of the Bible. Therefore, what “Crystals” are REALLY promoting is a belief in an inanimate object for these “gifts,” while detracting from the TRUE Force in the cosmos, our Loving God.
B) ROCK HARD FACTS
Even more important, crystals can become a form of worship towards them; while the true force behind whatever it was that gave you an experience with them is Satanic in nature. In other words, just another form of inducement to give credit away from God and “worship” something other than the True deserving force -- God. Worship the Creator, not His creations. The entire Book of Revelation is based upon, “Who do you worship” -- the “beast” or the “Creator.”
Here is the problem! What is the true Force behind any so-called benefit you may think you will achieve or receive from messing with these things? When evaluating the appropriateness of using crystals for healing purposes, it is important to be aware of the fact that the majority of experts who promote crystal healing are involved in the occult. The word occult means “hidden.” Our God is very “open” about His desires for your health and well-being.
Occultism concerns itself with the study and utilization of supernatural influences, powers and phenomena that are normally “hidden” from the regular physical senses, and are generally considered to be outside the realm of traditional scientific observation. Occultists believe that human beings and the world in which we live are permeated by invisible mystical energies. They believe that these energies can be focused and directed by “sacred stones,” such as crystals and other talismans, so as to induce physical healing and spiritual enlightenment. In addition to involvement with crystal power, occultism is associated with other mystical practices such as astrology, numerology, divination, tarot cards, psychic healing, mediumship, spirit channeling, Eastern religions, ritual magic, and sorcery.
God’s Word is very clear about such practices (see Deu. 18:9-12). Remember, God is not trying to restrict you from something that may be good for you (as occultists claim), but is attempting to teach you that these things will eventually end up hurting you in the long run. The use of “sacred stones” for mystical purposes was common among the pagan peoples of the Bible Lands. Called “armholes [amulets],” Jeremiah 38:12, these magical charms were made in the form of small pendants attached to a necklace or bracelet. They were worn to protect a person from negative energies, evil, injury, and also supposedly to bring good luck. God uttered a stern warning to the false prophetesses of Israel, who in their apostasy had adopted the pagan practice of wearing amulets. It’s in the Bible, Ezekiel 13:18 & 20-21.
Miracles, signs and wonders can often be the work of Satan. It’s in the Bible, Second Thessalonians 2:9 & 10. Under the command of Satan and his principalities, demonic spirits manifest these miraculous signs in an effort to get you to worship them (Satan) instead of God (see Rev. 16:13 & 14). Bottom line, Satan always goes forth in order to “deceive the nations,” Revelation 20:3 & 8.
The Bible tells of these demonic powers and people that play with it in Acts 8:11: “And to him [Simon] they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.” That means he was fooling them with his satanic miracles. However, later on, in Acts 8:13, we read that, “Then Simon himself believed also [in Jesus]: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.” Notice that Simon was impressed with the miracles of God over whatever powers he thought he had with Satan. Therefore, what need you of crystals that are used to control, or even eventually hurt you? Turn to the ONE Who can give you real, everlasting power.
