A) INTRODUCTION

It is a known fact that the Rabbinic hierarchy promotes the concept that their Messiah never dies.  As we shall see below, in their own Scriptures that the Rabbis do not address, the Messiah does die.  Once the Biblical proof is realized, it would be an easy step for both Jews and Christians to form an alliance together.

First, let me state that if you do not believe Moses, then neither will you believe anything else in the “Torah” or the “Tanakh.”  And it is Moses that states in Deuteronomy 18:15, that (verified in Acts 3:22-26) Jesus is the One Whom the Jewish nation is to be looking for as their prophesied “Messiah.”  Plus, Leviticus 17:11 CLEARLY teaches us that, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood:  and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:  for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”  In other words, without the shedding of blood, there is no remission for sin, Hebrews 9:22.  Therefore, Who has died for your sins?

However, I understand that Jewish believers believe that when “Messiah” Comes, He is Coming as a political figure and not as a figure as depicted in the Sanctuary services, “as a lamb to the slaughter,” Isaiah 53:7 (Jer. 11:19 & Acts 8:32).  To ignore your entire sacrificial system, as given to Moses, is to disconnect from your entire Old Testament(“Tanakh”) beliefs.  Please ignore your Rabbis and Synagogues which teach against known Scriptures and discover the “True Messiah” of the Hebrew Scriptures (see section “E” of this discourse).

Also realize, that the “Onkelos” Translation serves as a replacement to the “Septuagint” [“LXX”] translation, in order to combat the truths found in the New Testament, which the “LXX” gives credit to.  It was really a response to Messianic Judaism.  Thus, the “Onkelos” is not really a translation of the “Torah.”  But rather, it is a paraphrase designed to prove the Jewish “Oral Law.”  Ask your Rabbis why certain portions of the “Torah” are not read in your Synagogues to this very day (and specifically Isaiah, Chapter 53).

B) THE EXPECTATION PROPHECIES OF MESSIAH’S FIRST COMING

Note:  Jews believed and still believe that the “Messiah” would/will restore Israel to its former glory (governing of self).  Even after being 3 1/2 with Christ, they still had hopes of these following prophecies (see Acts 1:5-6).

Psalm 2:6 & 9:  “[6] Yet have I set My King upon My holy hill of Zion. [9] Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”  Something that needs to be ALWAYS understood Scripturally, is that ALL prophecies are CONDITIONAL upon the obedience to the conditions of that said prophecy.  Did the Nation of Israel remain faithful to her Lord?  She has failed every time.

Isaiah 2:4:  “And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people:  and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks:  nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”  Can’t you see that this is speaking of when in Heaven and not of earthly events?

Jeremiah 31:4-10 & 16-17 & 24:  “[4] Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel:  thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry. [5] Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria:  the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things. [6] For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God. [7] For thus saith the LORD;  Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations:  publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save Thy people, the remnant of Israel. [8] Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together:  a great company shall return thither. [9] They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them:  I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble:  for I Am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My firstborn. [10] Hear the Word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare It in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock. [16] Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears:  for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. [17] And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border. [24] And there shall dwell in Judah itself, and in all the cities thereof together, husbandmen, and they that go forth with flocks.”

The only time when “thy work shall be rewarded” is when in Heaven.  Remember, all of this was on CONDITION of meeting the requirements of the prophecy.

Jeremiah 31:31-40:  The “New Covenant” is thought to be only for Israel.  A spiritual regeneration if you will.  And this centered around the Temple.  But Jesus tells them that the Temple will be destroyed (Mat. 24:2; Mark 13:2; Luke 19:44; 21:6; which it was in 70 A.D.).  Therefore, they wanted nothing to do with Him.

Joel 3:1-2 & 7-8 & 15-17:  “[1] For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, [2] I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. [7] Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head: [8] And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it. [15] The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. [16] The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. [17] So shall ye know that I Am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.”

And many more.  These of course are alluding to “Messiah’s” Second Coming when He will purge evil from the world.  To apply these and other texts to this earth is to think earthly instead of Heavenly.

“The Jews have little influence over the Christian world in showing them the importance of the Commandments, including the binding Law of the Sabbath, because in bringing forth the old treasures of truth, they throw aside the new ones in the personal teachings of Jesus.  On the other hand, the strongest reason why Christians fail to influence the Jews to accept the teachings of Christ as the language of Divine wisdom, is because, in bringing forth the treasures of His Word, they treat with contempt the riches of the Old Testament, which are the earlier teachings of the Son of God, through Moses.  They reject the Law proclaimed from Sinai, and the Sabbath of the Fourth Commandment, instituted in the garden of Eden.  But the minister of the gospel, who follows the teachings of Christ, will gain a thorough knowledge of Both the Old and the New Testament, that he may present Them in Their true light to the people an inseparable whole -- the One depending upon and illuminating the Other.”  2SP:255.

“Had the Jews laid by their prejudice, and compared written prophecy with the facts characterizing the life of Jesus, they would have perceived a beautiful harmony between the prophecies and their fulfillment in the life and ministry of the lowly Galilean.”  2SP:371.1.

C) THE PURPOSE FOR THE JEWISH NATION

The purpose of God was for the Jewish nation (or any nation) was to be a blessing to all the families of the earth, in pointing them to Jehovah’s redemption for ALL.  See Genesis 12:3; 18:18; 22:18; 26:4; 28:14; Psalm 67:2; 72:17; Isaiah 42:6; 49:6; 56:3-8; 60:3; Jeremiah 4:2; 16:19; Zechariah 8:23.  Also, consider Galatians 3:8:  “And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the Gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.”  Other texts to consider are:  Isaiah 2:2-3; 11:10; 45:22; 65:1 and Ezekiel 47:23 where we have the outright adoption of Gentiles into the family of God (to share in what Israel inherited).

Exodus 12:49 makes it very clear:  “One Law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.”  This makes it very clear that Israel was to observe and teach the world God’s Law.  And even if they didn’t, the message would go to all the world anyway (without the preferred method of God; which was that the Jewish nation would teach other nations).  For proof see Psalm 22:27; Jeremiah 16:19 & 32:37-38; Hosea 1:10 & 2:23; Zechariah 2:11 & 8:22 & 13:19 & 14:16, and other texts.

“Their obedience to the Law of God would make them marvels of prosperity before the nations of the world.  He Who could give them wisdom and skill in all cunning work would continue to be their Teacher, and would ennoble and elevate them through obedience to His Laws.  If obedient, they would be preserved from the diseases that afflicted other nations, and would be blessed with vigor of intellect.  The glory of God, His majesty and power, were to be revealed in all their prosperity.  They were to be a kingdom of priests and princes.  God furnished them with every facility for becoming the greatest nation on the earth.”  COL:288.

Jews still teach that they should “love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.”  Matthew 5:43.  And, “Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand,” Exodus 21:24-25, Etcetera.  However, God teaches a balance in His Word by also teaching us to forgive our enemies:  Exodus 23:4; Leviticus 19:18; Proverbs 25:21-22; First Samuel 24:19; and to love strangers:  Genesis 19:2; Leviticus 19:34; Deuteronomy 10:19; Job 31:32.

D) THE POSSIBILITY OF PREDICTIONS COMING TRUE

Nostradamus is touted as the most famous predictor of future events of all of mankind.  Yet, it is honestly argued that only 5-10 percent of his predictions have been fulfilled with 100 percent certainty.  And most of those have either missed the mark by a wide margin or have been somewhat subjective and open to interpretation.  In other words, more like 5%.

There is said to be over 300 prophecies made about future prophetic events concerning the Messiah’s First Coming.  If you count the individual prophecies, I have found 190 (listed below).  If you count all of the prophecies, with the duplications by other prophets, I have found 464 (See my Bible Chart [Via E-Mail]: “PROPHECIES FULFILLED OF MESSIAH’S FIRST COMING”).  For any one person to fulfill even 10% of these would be a near impossibility.  In fact, the probability of a man fulfilling 12% of these is as astronomically impossible as the “Big Bang Theory” being true; or four a needle being found in a haystack the size of Texas and four feet tall.  Yet Jesus Christ fulfilled every last one of them to the letter (that means 100% without any variations).

The only way to explain this is to ascribe to the Bible what It claims to be, the very Word of God, and to Christ that which the Bible and He claim to be, and that is that He was the Living Messiah and that He has Come already.  “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me:  for he wrote of Me. [47] But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My Words?”  John 5:46-47.  Therefore, do not reject your Messiah.

Luke 24:25-27:  “Then He [The Messiah] said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: [26] Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory? [27] And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He [The Messiah] expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.”

The following are prophecies of the Messiah, with the Old Testament prophecy listed first (with the first time it appears alone with other Books [prophets] who stated the same prophecy) -- than its fulfillment in the life of Jesus Christ (Only a few references in the New Testament are given; not all).

ONE LAST NOTE:  Without the Coming of the Messiah, most of these prophecies do not make sense.
