FIRST OF ALL, LET’S HAVE A LOOK AT THE INVENTORS
Invented by Jubal: Genesis 4:21.

BELLS: Worn by the high priest upon his hem: Exodus. 28:33; 39:25.
CORNET (a horn, but not a Trumpet): Daniel 3:5 & 7 & 10.
CYMBALS: First Chronicles 16:5; Psalm 150:5.

GITTITH (a stringed instrument; possibly a type of harp): Psalm 8:1; 81:1; 84:1.

PSALTERY: Psalm 33:2; 71:22.
RAM’S HORN: Joshua 6:5.

TABRET (tambourine): Genesis 31:27; First Samuel 10:5; 18:6; Isaiah 24:8.
TIMBREL (a tambourine): Exodus 15:20; Psalm 68:25.

TRUMPET #2: In Psalm 98:6 we have straight trumpets and the “cornet,” which is really the standard “trumpet,” or “Shophar” of the Bible.
VIOL (like a lyre but struck with a bow instead of plucked): Isaiah 5:12; 14:11; Amos 5:23; 6:5.
