Standing Without An Intercessor

A) INTRODUCTION.

B) STANDING WITHOUT AN INTERCESSOR.

C) OBJECTION.

A) INTRODUCTION

According to Isaiah 59:16, there will be a point in time after sin when a certain group will stand before God without an intercessor.

When is an intercessor needed?  After sin has entered into the world.  Adam and Eve did not need an intercessor until after sin.

B) STANDING WITHOUT AN INTERCESSOR

If there is no sin, there is no need of an intercessor.

“The Law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.”  Psalm 37:31.

“He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”  Psalm 55:22.

“That they may shoot in secret at the perfect:” Psalm 64:4.

[Note:  One cannot shoot at a “perfect” person if there is none to “shoot” at].

“Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.”  Psalm 106:3.

“So shall I keep Thy Law continually for ever and ever.  And I will walk at liberty:  for I seek Thy Precepts.”  Psalm 119:44-45.

“I erred not from Thy Precepts” = Psalm 119:110.

“Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”  Romans 6:18.

“But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”  Romans 6:22.

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”  Romans 8:14.

“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”  First Corinthians 9:27.

“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ,” Second Corinthians 2:14.

“That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;” Philippians 2:15.

“Let us therefore, as many as be perfect,” Philippians 3:15.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”  First Thessalonians 5:23.

“By faith Enoch was translated. . . for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”  Hebrews 11:5.

“(1) Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind:  for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;(2) That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”  First Peter 4:1-2.

C) OBJECTION

Critics site Hebrews 7:25, where Christ is said to “ever liveth to make intercession for them.”  Do you consider that when the blotting of sin is taken out of the Cosmos, Nehemiah 1:9, that Christ will still be interceding on behalf of non-sinners?
