A) WHEN TO PREPARE
First, Jesus will let us know when to prepare:
John 13:19; John 14:19: “Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I Am He.”
Isaiah 41:23: “Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods.”
Isaiah 48:5: “I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.”
B) TO THE SIGNS

[12] And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. Joel 2:2: “A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness.”
Joel 2:3: “A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness.”
Note: The last part of verse 3 is speaking of the Third Coming of Christ where the New Jerusalem is before them but the “desolate” rest of the earth is “behind them.”
Joel 2:10: “The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.”

Joel 2:17: “Spare Thy people” = The righteous call for deliverance.

[38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, [39] And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the Coming of the Son of Man be.”
Luke 17:26 (Matthew 24:38; Luke 17:28; First Peter 3:20): “And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” = Genesis 6:5: “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
Luke 21:23; Revelation Chapter 16: God’s Plagues.
Luke 21:25: “. . . the sea and the waves roaring.”
Second Thessalonians 2:3-4: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
Second Thessalonians 2:10-12: “[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
First Timothy 4:1-3: “[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
Second Timothy 3:2-8: “[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. [6] For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, [7] Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. [8] Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.”
Second Timothy 4:3-4: “[3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves {false} teachers, having itching ears; [4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
Second Peter 3:3-4: “[3] Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, [4] And saying, Where is the promise of His Coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”

NOTE: Since Satan will war against God’s remnant (last day) people because they are faithful to God’s Law, then we can conclude that the observance and keeping Holy of God’s Ten Commandments will be a major issue in the end times.
Revelation 13:14-15: “. . . make an image to the beast.”
Revelation 13:15: “. . . speak {means to legislate}, and cause {means to enact laws}.”

Revelation 16:14 & 16: “. . . the battle of that great day of God Almighty. . . And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” This event is actually after the Third Coming of Christ.

“. . . time never will be a test again.” 10MR:269; RH, July 21, 1851 (page 16); ExV:48; 1BIO:208; PT:87; 1SG:148; 1EY:208.
“The Lord shewed me that TIME had not been a test since 1844, and that time will never again be a test.” RH, July 21, 1851 (page 12) = The Present Truth, Volume 1, Number 11, November, 1850, page 87.
“. . . for time will never be a test again.” RH, March 22, 1892.
“. . . no prophetic period extends to the Coming of Christ.” 4SP:290; GC:456.
However, the timing of Christ’s Coming was originally calculated based upon the Jewish fall festivals, i.e.:
“[399] On the fourteenth day of the first Jewish month, the very day and month on which, for fifteen long centuries, the Passover lamb had been slain, Christ, having eaten the Passover with his disciples, instituted that feast which was to commemorate His Own death as ‘the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.’ That same night he was taken by wicked hands, to be crucified and slain. And as the antitype of the wave-sheaf, our Lord was raised from the dead on the third day, ‘the first-fruits of them that slept,’ [1Co. 15:20] a sample of all the resurrected just, whose ‘vile body’ shall be changed, and ‘fashioned like unto his glorious body.’ [Php. 3:21]
“In like manner, the types which relate to the Second Advent must be fulfilled at the time pointed out in the symbolic service. Under the Mosaic system, the cleansing of the Sanctuary, or the great Day of Atonement, occurred on the tenth day of the seventh Jewish month, [Lev. 16:29-34] when the high priest, having made an atonement for all Israel, and thus [400]
“removed their sins from the Sanctuary, came forth and blessed the people. So it was believed that Christ, our great High Priest, would appear to purify the earth by the destruction of sin and sinners, and to bless His waiting people with immortality. The tenth day of the seventh month, the great Day of Atonement, the time of the cleansing of the Sanctuary, which in the year 1844 fell upon the 22nd of October, was regarded as the time of the Lord’s Coming. This was in harmony with the proofs already presented that the 2300 days would terminate in the autumn, and the conclusion seemed irresistible.” GC88:399-400.
