0) INTRODUCTION

 

 

The Greek verb “proskuneo,” meaning, “to worship,” is a fundamental liturgical term and occurs 24 times in The Book of Revelation.  This represents almost half of the entire New Testament occurrences.  That the theme and theological study of this Book revolves around, “Who do you worship,” and as we shall see later, what and when (better, what day) do you worship, is dynamic to the outcome of your evaluation of this Book.  The other aspect and popular theme would be to, “repent,” then to “overcome.”  As I like to put it:  “Repent, then overcome repenting, then overcome overcoming, then (you can properly) worship.”

 

Of the 404 verses in the Book of Revelation, many are either quotations or allusions to other places in the Bible, with 278 of them coming directly from the Old Testament Scriptures; and with some of them being direct quotes.  It is to be remembered that John the Revelator is speaking to an audience that had full knowledge and command of the Old Testament Scriptures; and therefore, his audience would understand his inferences.  To not have some command of the Old Testament is to not understand the Book of Revelation.

10) CHAPTER TEN

 

10:2 = THE LITTLE BOOK = Revelation 10:6 “time no longer.”

 

The fact that both the “Book” of Revelation, Chapter 5, and this “Book” are associated with a “strong angel,” suggests that the two “Book[s]” are one and the same.  The “Book” of Revelation, Chapter 5, was still “sealed.”  Whereas, this “Book” is now “open.”  This would make sense, in that the seven seals (six at least; we have here an interlude between the opening of the seventh seal and the six that have been described and already open) have been opened.  Therefore, this must be the “Book” of Revelation, Chapter 5, which was “open[ed]” by our Lord at His coronation.  However, John was told at this point not to publish what he saw or read.

 

 

11) CHAPTER ELEVEN

 

 

11:3 = 1260 DAYS [First mentioned here, also = 42 months; See also Dan. 7:25; 12:7; Rev. 12:6 & 14;

13:5] = 1260 YEARS = 538 A.D. -- 1798 A.D.

11:9 = THREE DAYS AND AN HALF = 3 1/2 YEARS = November. 26, 1793 to June 17, 1797 = 

            FRENCH REVOLUTION.

**11:15-19 = SOUNDING OF TRUMPET SEVEN = [THIRD WOE] = CLOSE OF PROBATION = SECOND COMING OF CHRIST.

11:18-19 = THE MOST HOLY PLACE = CHRIST MOVES TO THE MOST HOLY PLACE OF THE HEAVENLY SANCTUARY.
