A) INTRODUCTION
Scientologists revere the “church’s” (organizations) founder, L. Ron Hubbard, as a near-God. However, his “heart isdeceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9. Therefore, what columnist writer Lawrence Wright, writing and investigating for, “The New Yorker,” February 14, 2011, discovered that L. Ron Hubbard “was all too fallible, and a downright liar.”
Hubbard wrote the book, “Dianetics,” which is the “church’s” (organizations) founding text (Bible, if you will), after claiming to have healed himself of his World War II injuries; one in which he claimed to heal himself of blindness. By contrast, Hubbard’s actual military records (all 900 pages of them) contradict the factual truth. Lawrence Wrightrights, “Nowhere in the file is there mention of Hubbard’s being wounded in battle.” The “church” (organization) claims that it hired veteran intelligence agent Fletcher Prouty back in the 1980’s to unearth documents proving Hubbard’s claims. Prouty’s evidence, according to an archivist interviewed by Lawrence Wright, states that their evidence is a “forgery.”
Let me also state that the “church” (organization) teaches and has a “Disconnect” policy. To be fair, their own Web-Site states that they do not. However, ask any ex-Scientologist, or honest Scientologist (good luck with that option; they are told to lie to you) and they will affirm that they do. What is the “Disconnect” policy. Anyone who is not a Scientologist, especially your own family members (especially those who have left Scientology), are to be shunned, and non-believers are considered to be lost and unworthy of their association with you.
Understanding the above paragraph: How do they recruit anyone? Bottom line: Mind Control. Go to one of their buildings (best NOT to) and you can see it on display when they have you sit down and take their test.
B) BASIC AND UPPER-LEVEL BELIEF’S OF SCIENTOLOGY
Frankly, I’m a “doctrine” guy. If it does not line up via common sense (first test), then I throw it out and move on; or try to help others out of whatever it is with (my second step): Does it line up with the Bible?
The basic belief of Scientology is that experience, in this or in previous lives (thus, the FALSE teaching of reincarnation), is recorded in the brain as a series of “engrams.” These “engrams” are revived and reinforced by recurring similar situations and always cause inappropriate and self-defeating behavior.
L. Ron Hubbard taught, and it is still taught and believed as the most important doctrine of the “church” (organization; although you do not learn this until 1/4 of a million dollars and level OT3 -- which takes years to acquire -- or else if you did when you first walk in their doors you would be seen running), that: “75 million years ago, the galaxy was ruled by a tyrant named Xenu. One day Xenu rounded up various wrongdoers and imprisoned them in volcanoes on earth. . . which was then called Teegeeach. Hydrogen bombs were dropped on them. Then their spirits, called Thetans, were trapped in humans. . . and that is the cause of all our sufferings. Only through Scientology can our Thetans be cleared.” Thus, the reason for Scientology: To save planet earth from these “Thetans,” by casting them out of all the humans on earth.
It is at this point that anyone considering Scientology better run. Or, if you need more convincing, please read the rest of this article. However, for those who need to learn more upon the subject in order to help others come to the correct decision, carry on.
“WikiLeaks” was able to infiltrate the secretive society of Scientology, and published this statement by L. Ron Hubbard: “The only way you can control people is to lie to them. . . As I use the word religion, it has nothing to do with God.” In other words, he is saying there is no God; it’s man’s invention in order to control people (And Scientology isn’t; What a joke). And L. Ron Hubbard himself has stated: “The man on the cross, there was no Christ. But the man on the cross is shown as every man. So of course, each person seeing a crucified man has an immediate feeling of sympathy for this man.” In other words, Jesus did not exist. Also, according to Leah Remini, famous actress and former Scientologist, and now exposer of this cult, you do not learn that there was no Christ until you have spent $300,000 in their (brainwashing) training.
Scientology teaches a blend of science and spirituality, with belief in an immortal spirit (has always been and will be) “Thetan,” that is resident in a (your) physical body. Scientology teaches you how to improve that spirit (not you) here on Earth using Scientology’s methods. In fact, as you move up the Scientology levels, you later learn that you are just a conglomerate of beings that inhabit you and Scientology will help you to rid yourself of some of them (the bad ones), and or work with them by making them better (not you). And in case you can’t ever get it completely right, remember, Scientology believes in Reincarnation, so you can get it right in the next life. This is why they “Make You” sign a billion-year contract. As young as seven years old and you are encouraged to sign (see Jenna Miscavigeinterview on You Tube; niece to David Miscavige; current leader of the “church” at this writing).
The “Thetan” has had innumerable previous lives. It is only learned in advanced level Scientology texts (as you go up the chart) that lives preceding the “Thetan’s” arrival on Earth were lived in “extraterrestrial cultures.” Based on case studies at advanced levels, it is predicted that any Scientologist undergoing “auditing,” will eventually come across and recount a “common series of events.” Kind of like the movie, “The Matrix.” To explain “auditing,” one must sit before another human, better than yourself, and that human tells you what is wrong with you and how, if you spend money on their literature, you can get better.
According to the “church’s” (organization’s) founder L. Ron Hubbard’s discovery of the “Thetan,” places Scientology at the heart of the human quest for meaning, and proves that its origins are as ancient as religious thought itself. Think about it! Therefore, no one has been able to be “saved” until this discovery by L. Ron Hubbard.
Scientology considers that its understanding of the “Thetan” distinguishes it from other religious traditions, especially Judaism and Christianity, in three important ways (Notice the attack on Christianity).
First, while many religions fuse the concept of the body and the soul, the “Thetan (spirit)” is separate and independent.
Second, unlike the three great world monotheisms, Scientologists believe in past lives and that the “Thetan” has lived through many, perhaps thousands of lifetimes. Why would they teach and use such terms as, “perhaps?” These silly people claim to know; when they teach they don’t know.
Third, contrary to Christian concepts of original sin, Scientology holds to the intrinsic goodness of a being and believes that the spiritual essence has lost touch with its nature. “The spirit, then, is not a thing,” Hubbard writes, “It is the creator of things.” Bromley, David; Cowan, Douglas, “Cults and new religions: a brief history.” Did you notice? Now you are the “creator?” This is only learned at the highest of levels. To tell you this non-sense in the beginning would have most running for the hills. However, at this point you are brain-washed anyway.
Scientology describes itself as the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, others, and all of life. Scientologists also believe that people have innate, yet suppressed, power and ability which can be regained if cleared of enforced and unwanted behavior patterns and discomforts. “Road To Total Freedom,” Panorama. BBC. April 27, 1987.
Scientology is described as “a religion to help people use scientific approaches to self-actualize their full potential.” Paul C. Gutjahr (2001), Robert Farley (May 6, 2006), “Scientology nearly ready to unveil Super Power.” St. Petersburg Times. Retrieved 2008-12-07. Believers reach their full potential “when they understand themselves in their true relationship to the physical universe and the Supreme Being.” “Reference: The State of the Discipline: Sacred Texts in the United States.” “Book History” 4: found amoung pages 335–370.
The “church” (organization) of Scientology believes that “Man is basically good, that he is seeking to survive, (and) that his survival depends on himself and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe,” as stated in the Creed of the “church” (organization) of Scientology. James R. Lewis, (March 2009), “Scientology. Cary, NC: Oxford University Press.” ISBN 978-0-19-533149-3. See Jeremiah 17:9 again in my Introduction.

D) HOW SCIENTOLOGY IS SUCCESSFUL OTHER THAN MIND CONTROL
It took me about three years to discover why Scientology was so successful. Once I was able to discard the fact that most people are easily fooled by cults by not using their God given (unused because God is not first in their lives) common-sense, I was able to get to the real reason. Frankly, I thought only the people at the top were getting most of the money (which is true). Therefore, I did not focus upon money as an attraction. However, once I learned (after three years of looking at this cult) that every Scientologist that brings in a person to this sect receives 10% of whatever that person pays into the sects’ coffers, that was the attraction; and I’m surprised that not more people are getting in (except you do not learn this for a while. Do you get backpay when you do? Doubtful).
Therefore, consider how it is done even for the poor person to make money. First of all, nothing is for free in Scientology. Remember that point. Let’s say you bring someone into Scientology. They do not have the money to buy the materials. Therefore, you give them a loan (with interest). Now they can pay to play and you receive even more money. Not forgetting the fact that you are taking out loans for yourself in order to pay for all the “required” Scientology materials, which is never ending; because when you get close to the top, they make you start all over again, because for some reason you messed up along the way. This, in most cases, takes you 12-20 years to get to the top; 1/2 million dollars later; i.e., once you spend 1/2 million you are near the top.
A perfect example and proof that money is the real attraction and not the religious aspect is to look at Tony Muhammad, who is the “Western Regional Representative For The Nation Of Islam.” Anyone familiar at all with the religion of Islam (see my Bible Study: “MUSLIMS, QUESTIONS FOR”) knows that their religion is superior to all others; and that Allah is the only true God and Muhammad is the only prophet. However, Tony Muhammad has taken on Scientology, somehow keeping Allah and his prophet Muhammad in some sort of authority, while promoting L. Ron Hubbard as the “true being,” i.e., prophet. Why? He has brought his followers with him into Scientology. Can you imagine how much money he is receiving from the 10% contribution of his members which have now joined Scientology? Let alone what he receives from them as being in his congregation of the “Nation of Islam?”
As any newspaper, magazine, etcetera, knows, the penalty for going public with information that is found to be fraudulent or misrepresentative in order to promote a lie, in this case, about Scientology, may go deeper than just lawsuits and counter lawsuits. Therefore, Miss Remini better be right.
E) BOTTOM LINE
Bottom line, the “church” (organization) is based upon a lie (liar), starting out with L. Ron Hubbard’s science fiction writings and books; and then his injuries, and any healing methods, since Mr. Hubbard was never wounded in the military as claimed, healed his own eyesight, as claimed, and therefore could not have healed from something that was never broken. If you start your religion out with a lie, how are the rest of its doctrines or practices going to be correct?
There is a series out, produced by Leah Remini, a prominent Hollywood actress that was involved in and promoted the religion for over twenty years and was in it for over thirty years. In other words, she knows what she is talking about better than I. She, along with other people who were very high-up into the ranks (yes, there are ranks as opposed to positions) in Scientology, after learning more and more of Scientology’s abuses and falsehoods, decided to make a documentary to help people escape (yes, I said you have to “escape”) from its grip.
