INTRODUCTION

 

 

When your Mormon missionary friends come to your door, the first thing they like to start out with is how great the “Book of Mormon” is.  Don’t let them control the conversation.  Come back with, ”Then why is there no, none, not any, archeological evidence for any of the events, places, battles, artifacts, or civilizations mentioned in this supposed book written by God?”  Whereas the true Word of God, The Bible, has had every possible criticism verified.

There is a Book that has been attacked for over 3,000 years and has passed every test put to It (Prophecy; Geographical Places; Science; Morality; Godhead; Mathematics; Historical Criticism; Source Criticism; Higher And Lower Criticism; Redacted Criticism; Textual Criticism; Form Criticism; etcetera).  And just in case you haven’t figured out which Book that is that I might be referring to that has more documentary Manuscripts then any other book in history -- It has 860 Greek Manuscripts; about 10,000 Latin Vulgates; 19,000 Manuscripts in eleven other languages; 2,135 Legionaries.  And I am NOT referencing the fake “Book of Mormon,” which fails in Geography; People Groups; History; Source; etcetera.]

 

There are no hidden “Golden Tablets” that you cannot see in order to investigate the information for yourself.

 

Then, while they are scrambling or forming an answer, continue with controlling the conversation with, “What happens after you die?”

 

Regardless of the hundreds of quotes I could give you, when your Mormon missionaries come to your door, or for Mormons who do not know their own doctrine, when asking them what happens after they die, be SPECIFIC as to the time period.  In particular, what happens after the 1000-year period?

 

Apparently, there are three stages of Heaven, one of them being that you will become Gods!!!  That’s right!!!  You, a created being, will now possess the attribute of having never been created.  Makes sense, right???

 

[NOTE:  If they say that is not true, or they don’t know about that teaching, tell them to go back to their false church and learn what it teaches.  Then realize that the conversation is over.  Give the Holy Spirit a chance to work on these uninformed individuals that have just learned the truth.]

There are also many texts I could quote where Mormons teach that Christ is Satan’s “brother.”  And we all know that that makes Satan and Christ created beings.  It also makes Christ not the creator of everything.

 

Christ is NOT a created being as Mormonism projects.  That Christ created everything -- meaning He is before all things -- Meaning He is the One-And-Only True God -- Meaning He CANNOT be a created being since He is the Creator of all things.

Other texts to consider are:  Hebrews 1:2-3 & 10-12.]

 

Even if they cannot grasp that Jesus is the true Creator, ask them Who then created everything, since it had to begin somewhere.  Let logic start to work and the Holy Spirit to do His job.

Although you could spend hours giving common sense reasons for not following this obvious false prophet, do not spend any time with this form of argument.  It will just put them on the defensive and not pay much attention to you.  Plus, the average Mormon, and especially these uniformed mostly teenage missionaries, do not know the truth about their false prophet.
