A) WHERE THE MEGA CHURCHES BIRTHED FROM

 

 

Credit is given to Robert Schuller, who was a 33rd Degree Freemason and Pastor of the “Crystal Cathedral,” for originating the first of many to come Mega Churches.  In a publication called, “Self-Esteem The New Reformation,” Schuller is quoted as saying and teaching, “And we can pray, ‘Our Father in heaven, honorable is our name.”  The original “our” is in italics -- not me editing it.  Exalting oneself to the position of God is blasphemy -- if you didn’t catch that.

 

In a side note, Freemasons believe they will become a god.

 

From the same book, page 64, we have this gem:  “Classical theology has erred in its insistence that theology be “God-created,” not “man-centered.’ ”

 

Moving on to page 115, we find this gem:  “(1) the church’s problem is that it has had a God-centered theology for centuries, when it needs a man-centered one; (2) we’re not bad, merely badly informed about how good we are; (3) it would be an insult to the integrity of any human being to call him a sinner; and (4) Jesus knew His worth; His success fed His self-esteem.  He suffered the cross to sanctify His self-esteem and He bore the cross to sanctify your self-esteem.  The cross will sanctify the ego trip.”

Robert Schuller holds various meetings in order to trans pastors on how to build a Mega church by attending his “Institute for Successful Church Leadership.”  One can even go to his web-site @ www.hourofpower.org.  Graduates include such Mega church leaders such as Bill Hybels, of “Willow Creek Community Church,” and Rick Warren of “Saddleback Church.”

 

 

C) THE MEGA CHURCH ATTRACTION

 

 

Thus, the attraction of the Mega churches is the elevation of man, over the holiness of God.  No repentance is preached (since it is not needed), and no humbleness is required (since one is near to Godliness).

 

 

D) MOST MEGA CHURCHES TODAY

 

Most Mega churches flourish today and attract the multitudes, is because of entertainment and no repentance or requirements in order to be “saved.”  In other words, “Just Believe.”  I dare you to find “Just Believe,” or “faith only,” or any other phrases as such in the Scriptures.
