A) According to Job 38:4-7:  

 

 

4) Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? {THAT WOULD BE UPON DAY THREE ACCORDING TO GENESIS 3:9} declare, if thou hast understanding.

5) Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

6) Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

7) When the morning stars sang together, and all {THIS WOULD INCLUDE SATAN} the sons of God shouted for joy?

 

Therefore, we can learn and conclude that Satan was alive and watched the creation of this earth.  Or at best, Satan was created upon day one or two of this earth.  But more likely, he was created before the earth was formed.

 

 

B) Then in Ezekiel 28:13-15:

 

 

13) Thou hast been in Eden {HERE WE LEARN THAT SATAN WAS IN THE GARDEN BEFORE HE FELL; VERSE 15; AND GENESIS 2:8 TELLS US THAT EDEN WAS CREATED ON THE SIXTH DAY} the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:  the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created {HERE WE LEARN HE WAS A CREATED BEING}.

14) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so:  thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created {CREATED MENTIONED AGAIN}, till iniquity was found in thee.

 

Therefore, we also learn that Satan had not fallen until some time after day six of creation week.  Wherefore, any teaching of Satan falling before the creation of this earth, or before the creation of man, is hearsay.

 

 

C) Also, in Genesis 1:31:

 

 

31) And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good.   And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

 

Therefore, God could not claim that everything He had made up to that point in time was not only “good,” but “very good,” if it was not.

 

 

D) Lastly, in Hebrews 1:14:

 

 

14) Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

 

This teaches us the reason for the creation of the angels; so they must not have been in existence very long (if their mission was to minister to mankind; but that could be an unreasonable analogy.

 

According to my favorite Bible Commentator, Satan existed “for ages,” 4SP:317, before the fall.
